  • A mask can hide you or tell people about you
  • A mask can be really beautiful, ugly, funny, scary
  • A mask can tell a story
  • A mask can be part of a costume, a play, or a job
  • A mask can be very realistic or total fantasy
  • A mask can be a person, an animal, or some unknown alien creature
  • A mask can be someone famous or someone you know
  • What kind of mask will you make?

 

Here are materials and tools for simple masks:

  • Paper plates
  • Folded paper
  • Ball point pens to drill holes for eyes, nose, mouth
  • Paper punch
  • Long pipe cleaners
  • Scissors
  • Edger scissors
  • Markers
  • Collage materials
  • Feathers, beads, buttons, yarn
  • Glue
