Bonnie Muir has been named 2008 Massachusetts Elementary Art Teacher of the Year
at the MA Art Education Association Conference in Boston this May.  Bonnie teaches art
in a choice-based classroom in Hopkinton, MA.  


The 2008 Colorado Charter/Independent/Private School Art Educator of the Year is
Nan Hathaway.  Nan runs a choice-based art program at the Rocky Mountain School
for the Gifted and Creative in Boulder, Colorado.


TAB teacher Diane Jaquith was the only art educator among 50 teachers from around the country
to be recognized by the NEA Foundation at the 13th Annual Salute to Excellence in Education.  
Diane teaches choice-based art education in Newton, MA.  This article appears with permission
